EXO Construction Group is proud to announce the completion of two advanced modular classroom additions for School District 62 (Sooke) on Vancouver Island. These projects highlight EXO’s commitment to innovative modular construction, delivering sustainable, functional, and aesthetically appealing educational spaces.

At David Cameron Elementary (675 Meaford Ave), EXO completed a 9,700 sq ft modular addition, using EXO’s Panelized Modular Building System™. Featuring eight new classrooms, two special education rooms, centralized washrooms, and shared project spaces, this addition offers a cohesive and inspiring additional learning space for David Cameron students, teacher, and the district. Built while the school remained operational, the addition includes cooling systems aligned with Ministry of Education standards, durable Falkbuilt modular interiors, and a lively exterior entryway that is flanked by two stunning colorful gable walls. Vibrant, site-specific colors and large operable Kawneer windows are additional elements that showcase the full design flexibility available with EXO’s Panelized Modular Building System.

Similarly, Ruth King Elementary (2764 Jacklin Rd), now benefits from an identical 9,700 sq ft panelized modular addition featuring eight new classrooms, two special education rooms, and shared project zones—all designed to enhance learning and collaboration. The fast-tracked build minimized site disruption and includes Ministry-compliant cooling systems, Falkbuilt modular interiors, and a triple-layer Galvalume-coated EXO roof for long-term thermal performance. The vibrant exterior palette, operable Kawneer windows, and integrated curtain walls contribute to a durable and future-forward school expansion.

“We’re proud to have worked with Sooke School District and StudioHuB Architects on the David Cameron and Ruth King additions. At EXO, we take pride in the strong partnerships we build with school districts, architects and consultants to deliver thoughtful, high-quality learning spaces. As communities continue to grow and evolve, we’re proud to be part of the solution—helping meet the space and infrastructure needs of today and tomorrow.
